January 12, 2012 The Common Pleas Court is pleased to announce that Gary Scalf has been selected to be the new Court Administrator for the General Division. Gary has been Judge Thomas Herman’s Bailiff at Municipal and Common Pleas Courts for the past seven years. Prior to working for the Courts, Gary worked at AT&T in various positions as technician, planner, and manager for 30 years. The tentative date for Gary to assume the full duties of Court Administrator after a transition period is February 6.
At the same time, Shannon Disbennett will be returning to her former position as Administrative Assistant to Julie Frey, Chief Probation Officer. This move will allow Shannon to move back at her request to the Probation Department. The Court appreciates all of the good work Shannon has done as Court Administrator.
January 3, 2012 PUBLIC NOTICE As part of a countywide upgrade of Clermont County’s e-mail system, the e-mail addresses of Common Pleas Court employees has now changed.
Effective January 1, 2012, the domain name of any county addresses (the portion after the @ sign) is @clermontcountyohio.gov. Effective immediately, the old addresses with @co.clermont.oh.us will no longer be in service and your e-mail to the court will bounce.
If you have not already done so, please immediately update the information in your contact lists on your computers, smart phones, and tablets to reflect the new usage of @clermontcountyohio.gov.

September 19, 2011 Attorneys should take note that the Court is operating under the newly revised fee schedule for appointed counsel in criminal cases. The current rates as approved by the Board of County Commissioners is $60 per hour for in-court work and $50 per hour for out-of-court work. August 23, 2011 The forms for submitting lists of witnesses, exhibits, and depositions at pre-trials before Judge McBride are now available in Word format for the convenience of attorneys and parties. The forms are available in both Word and PDF format on the Judicial Preferences and Court Forms pages of this web site.
July 25, 2011 The Clermont County Common Pleas Court has posted judicial preferences for practices and procedures on this web site. An attorney or party may go to the page "Judicial Preferences" and click on a judge's name to get a PDF with that judge's individual preferences for practice in his court. These listings of judicial preferences for practices and procedures for counsel and parties are offered for the convenience and guidance of those appearing before the individual judges in the Clermont County Common Pleas Court, General Division. Each judge reserves the right and has the discretion to modify these preferences to suit the circumstances of individual cases as the law and the facts require.
May 26, 2011 The Local Rules of the Clermont County Common Pleas Court, General Division, as amended May 24, 2011, are now posted on the Court's web site. The major change is the adoption of Local Rule 1 regarding the assignment to judges of both criminal and civil cases. In addition to the individual Local Rules, counsel and other interested parties may download a complete set of Local Rules in PDF format.

December 1, 2010-A new Mediation Case Summary form is available. The new form has been made available online in the "Court Forms" page of this web site. Counsel are encouraged to use the new form and to submit their summaries to the Mediation Office by e-mail to hpaddock@clermontcountyohio.gov.
